PARTNERSHIP MEETING WITH THE GIZ TEAM ON THE EXPANSION OF THE NATIONAL GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE

Mr. Sunday S-Agbabiaka, the national Data Manager, GBV in a scheduled meeting with the GIZ: Skills Development for Youth Employment, project team. The meeting revolves around introduction of the Safespace Connect App and showcase GIZ's areas of focus as well as discuss potential collaboration on the National Gender-Based Violence dashboard and the need to build capacity of relevant stakeholders at both Federal and State levels, particularly in States where GIZ is active.

This meeting was an important step towards enhancing data collection and reporting on GBV incidents and improving the overall response to gender-based violence through collaboration and technology.

SAFESPACE CONNECT App Features:

• The app will mirror the national GBV dashboard.
• It will advocate for integrated solutions and require registration for access to classified data.
• The SMWA will receive a one-year subscription to familiarize itself with the app before starting to pay for it.
• For sustainability and ownership, Warien Rose Foundation planned to migrate the app to ‘Atingi’ (a free digital learning experience focused on providing locally relevant learning opportunities (Paid and unpaid courses) that address critical referral services and educational skill gaps on GBV) without compromising partners right.
