WELCOME FROM THE PRESIDENT’S DESK

As President of the Warien Rose Foundation, I am pleased to formally present SafeSpace Connect, a flagship initiative of Warien Rose Foundation designed to expand access to safety, support, and structured care for Nigerians, irrespective of location.

SafeSpace Connect was developed in response to a critical gap in access to trusted support systems across communities, where individuals, particularly survivors of gender based violence and other forms of vulnerability, often face isolation, limited information and uncertainty about where to seek help.

This platform provides a secure digital environment where users can seek assistance without fear, share experiences without stigma and access timely, verified support services. It connects individuals to a growing network of vetted providers across medical, legal, psychological, and community-based services, ensuring holistic pathways to recovery and empowerment.

At its core, SafeSpace Connect is a national support ecosystem, designed to restore dignity, ensure protection, and enable access to care for everyone, everywhere in Nigeria.

Our purpose is to ensure that every Nigerian and everyone living in Nigeria has access to trusted support systems that foster safety, healing, and growth.

Our vision is a Nigeria where no one is excluded from justice, healthcare, or psychosocial support due to fear, stigma, or geographic limitation.

Our mission is to deliver a secure, confidential, and data-driven referral platform that connects individuals to verified support services while safeguarding identity with the highest standards of privacy and protection.

We remain committed to building systems that protect, empower, and restore hope.

SafeSpace Connect reflects a simple but powerful belief: access to support should never depend on where you live.

Our Story

SafeSpace Connect was conceived in response to the lived realities of teenagers and young adults in the Jikwoyi community of Abuja, where limited access to trusted information, protection systems, and support services left many vulnerable, particularly survivors of gender-based violence.

In this environment, the consequences of silence were profound, stigma discouraged reporting, isolation deepened suffering, and the absence of clear support pathways left many without direction or care.

What began as a focused response to the needs of young people in Jikwoyi has since evolved into a national intervention. SafeSpace Connect now extends across Nigeria, reaching individuals in both urban centres and the most remote communities. It is designed to ensure that geography is never a barrier to safety, support, or recovery.

Today, SafeSpace Connect serves as a secure digital platform connecting individuals to verified medical, legal, psychological, and community-based services, restoring dignity, access and hope wherever it is needed.
